Ministering to Parents, Youth and Single Adults about Godly opposite gender relationships
I'm a 16 year old young man living in mid-Michigan. I just wanted to thank Tom Houck for his book, "Being Faithful to Your Future Spouse." It is the best book I've ever read on a Christian approach to relationships. I was first awakened to the idea of waiting for God's timing in romance by the book, "When God Writes Your Love Story" by Eric and Leslie Ludy. It profoundly changed my life, and left me with a passion for serving my future wife in my actions. I later read, "I Kissed Dating Goodbye" and "Boy Meets Girl" by Joshua Harris, and his books were helpful as well. But I must say that Mr. Houck's book was far better than all of these. It was inspiring, yet surprisingly practical. It had detailed studies of Scripture that were lacking in other books. And most importantly, it gave me a clearer picture of how to serve my God to the utmost in love relationships. Of course, "Being Faithful to Your Future Spouse" is not perfect by any means, but it serves as an incredible analysis of what God truly wants for us when it comes to romance. Thank you so much. I will continue to use the book until I give it to my children to read someday. God bless your ministry and your efforts for turning hearts toward Him.
